Having just come off a fabulous 3 week shoot, taking me from the Southern Highlands of NSW to the Opera House to the Great Barrier Reef to the Sunshine Coast then Longreach and Muttaburra, I had a fascinating engagement on the set of Steven Spielberg's Terra Nova, then two days working with the wonderful people of Marketstall Productions and WiTH Collective and now I head back to Sydney for a six week engagement with Once Upon a Time Productions working on a fabulous documentary for SBS TV.
These last few months I have been blessed with some great projects working with talented and interesting people and so far it looks to continue into the year. It is great to have some long term projects and also some breaks so I can keep my regulars happy and work on some fantastic shorter projects as well.
My arsenal of equipment continues to grow with new radio mics, microphone stands and the amazing dual channel Zaxcom camera links with timecode recorder and IFBs. I am really pleased to be able to service all the demands a one person sound crew can encounter, knowing I have the equipment and experience to enjoy the work without stressing about the technicalities.
I have also had the chance for a lot of travel lately and have realised how vast and wide my contact with people has become having encountered many friends and colleagues at every location we have visited on the Eastern Seaboard which is great especially when it coincides with days off along the way.
Very much looking forward to our next creative adventure in Sydney and hopefully many more to come to round out what has been an amazing year!
